Bone Marrow Drive

Dear All,

I am sending this information to all our members to ask if you might consider posting about an important event in the Nyack community. A local Nyack community member named Heather and Anand Shenoy have a very ill son. Their son, Vivek Shenoy is almost a year old and they are doing a bone marrow drive for him. He has a rare blood disease called HLH and the only cure is a bone marrow transplant. Their first son died of this disease. Because Vivek is half-Indian, Indian donors are particularly helpful. They are reaching out to all the local Indian communities.

Here is the link to the organization that is doing the drive. The drive is in Nyack but Samar (the organization) has lots of other drives and ANY match will make its way to Vivek. The other option is that anyone can send away to bethematch.org for a kit that can be done at home. It's just a swab in the cheek!

Here's the link to Samar:

Here's the link to their calendar for drives. Vivek's is on the 20th;

Also - the only page about Vivek we have is on fb - called The Vivek Report: https://www.facebook.com/TheVivekReport?fref=ts

Thank you!
